We are thrilled to announce that the work of Sir Terry Pratchett is being adapted into graphic novels, and the journey begins with not one book, but three.

The younger reader’s strand will begin with the beloved The Wee Free Men. Tiffany Aching’s adventures will unfold in this new format, adapted by Terry’s daughter, Rhianna Pratchett, with the artist to be announced. This will publish in Spring 2027 via Puffin.
Readers can also dive into Thief of Time, adapted by LEGO comics author Gary Chudleigh, illustrated by the award-winning Rachael Stott, the artist behind works for Marvel’s New X-Men, Star Trek and Doctor Who, and coloured by award-winning colourist Ellie Wright. You can pre-order the Thief of Time, which launches the universe and publishes 2 April 2026 from DoubleDay, via Waterstones, with more retailer pre-orders to become available soon.

Monstrous Regiment (Autumn 2026) will complete the launch trilogy of what we hope to be an expansive graphic novel universe, with the rest of the creative team, and more titles, to be announced.
“I’m delighted to be adapting The Wee Free Men, which is one of my favourite books by my father,” says Rhianna. “Growing up in Wiltshire, England’s ‘Chalk Country’, and having a shepherdess grandmother makes it a very personal book for me, as well as being the gateway into the superb Tiffany Aching series. The book has so much heart, joy and humour that can be enjoyed by readers of all ages, and I hope the graphic novel collaboration with Puffin will open up these marvellous stories to a new audience.”
